KS3 Stages of Excellence – Assessment Grids
Attainment at KS3 is centred around students knowing more, remember more and being able to do more over time. We recognise that student progress is often non-linear and that students can spend too much time focusing on the grade with not enough attention being given to the gaps in knowledge and skills.
KS3 Assessment Grids will support students to identify the knowledge and skills required at different points during KS3.
The grids also allow us to report on the level of student understanding students currently have of the curriculum that has been taught in each subject area up to that point. Each subject at KS3 assesses students using clear, subject specific criteria, which is linked to the curriculum content.
